Servant Events are opportunities for youth and adults to give of themselves in serving another. It is to be "Jesus with skin on" or to wash feet.

Working with the Youth Mnistry Office of the LCMS, four events are planned for 2008

Event Name: Better Homes for Appalachia - Oakland
Location: Apostolics of Oakland, Oakland, MD
Start date: 07/19/2008 End date: 07/26/2008
Description (partial): Servants will rehabilitate homes for the elderly, single parents, and those in financial need. Registration includes recreation.

Event Name: High Country Habitat
Location: Camp Linn Haven, Linville, NC
Start date: 06/22/2008 End date: 06/28/2008
Description (partial): Servants will build houses with Habitat for Humanity, learning basic skills to help working families live in decent housing. We will also offer human care ministries by leading VBS .

Event Name: Riches in Richmond
Location: Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Richmond, VA
Start date: 06/21/2008 End date: 06/28/2008
Description (partial): Participants will do housing repair for low income/elderly people though Elderhomes. They will also plan and execute a dinner/dance for developmentally disabled adults. Registration includes recreation options. .

Event Name: Western North Carolina Servant Event
Location: Emmanuel Lutheran, Asheville, NC
Start date: 07/12/2008 End date: 07/23/2008
Description (partial): Dig Septic Tanks, Repair and Paint homes for Appalachian Families in need.
