Training Leaders for Outreach (TLO) courses are designed to resource and equip church workers, congregations and congregational leaders to be better trained for local outreach. Each three hour session can be viewed on your personal computer or in a group environment  in the congregations listed.

In this webcast session Pastor Wuertz, Mission Developer for Chesapeake Community of Hope will share the excitment, commitment, and challenges for reaching out in a new way to share the story we love to tell.

Have you ever thought about communion as a place where a person communicates they have accepted Christ?  Have you ever thought, “This person will never  make it out of their hole”, only to see God completely change their life. Have you ever assumed someone was on really solid ground, then watched them disappear off the face of the earth.  Such are the tales of many church planters. While we occasionally hear of those explosive church plants, most church plant growth is through lots of prayer and hard work, inch by inch, foot by foot. Come join Jeff Wuertz as he shares the good, the bad, and the ugly of their experience starting a church plant from scratch in Chesapeake.  

Recognizing the need to reach more than 100,000,000 people with the Gospel message, the Southeastern District is offering a training program for church professional and congregational leaders. Training Leaders for Outreach (TLO) is outreach education for the individual who desires to grow in his/her understanding and practice of sharing the Gospel through outreach, witness, and evangelism. It is born of a desire to provide workers for the harvest field to serve the church with excellence and more effectively. Resources and learning opportunities are available for lay people and church professionals. Classes will be offered in a variety of ways: small group settings, seminars, distance learning, video streaming and district conferences. About TLO Workshops Sharing the life-changing message of Christ in our lives is a critical event! These workshops are designed to prepare congregational members to reach out to guests and the community with this news. These workshops are designed for everyone: congregational leaders, teachers, youth, and the person in the pew. After attending an event, participants will be better prepared to share the story of God’s grace and mercy in their lives. The Southeastern District makes these courses available through teleconferencing and webcasting to bring these exciting classes to your congregation or to one close to you. The workshop time will be 9:00 - noon. Workshops will be located in multiple locations.
