The
Southeastern District is served by three full-time Mission and Ministry Facilitators
who assist congregations and schools, professional church workers and lay
leaders in the respective regions of the district. Each Mission and Ministry
Facilitator brings experience and expertise as they work with congregations,
circuits and schools in all areas of "outreach" and "inreach"
ministry.
They build relationships with congregational leaders; networking, coordinating
and brokering resources for congregations in visioning and planning; leading
workshops and outreach processes, stewardship programs, Faithful Christians/Faithful
Congregations, and Bridgebuilders; and working with congregations and circuits
in planting new churches and ministries within the region. The Facilitator
for the Central Region is Rev. Art Umbach.

Are you entitled to a sabbatical? Do you have any idea how to prepare
yourself and your congregation for it? A new section of Wheat Ridge
Ministries' site is devoted to preparing for a ministry sabbatical. The
site includes questions to help you develop your time away and a guide to help
your congregation or ministry prepare for your absence. You may also
join the Sabbatical Interim Newwork at the site, which matches interims with
congregations or ministries that have sabbatical absences. Check
out the links for sources of funding for congregation and sabbatical takers.
Our own Tim Fangmeier (tim@giftedpeople.org)
played a key role in putting this site together.
