Application for M&M Grant from SED for 2008 – DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 25

Congregations requesting a grant for 2008 must complete and submit an application (including congregations that received funding in the previous year) to usno later than September 25, 2007. Due to the time frame that has been allotted for our budget planning process, we must be firm about this deadline to allow sufficient time for circuit counselors and circuit mission advocates to review the applications with SED staff and then for the SED to prepare a proposed budget for presentation to the SED BOD by their December meeting.  Mail the completed information to SED address on this letterhead.

It is important that all sections be completed (or updated if you are renewing a grant).  Information you provide in the Planning Narrative may be used in publications as we tell the story of mission and ministry needs within the Southeastern District. Ministries that are less than three years of age must also fill complete a mission report form.  The information on the report form will be used to help determine the mission and ministry grant.

Please review the documents and the instruction sheet (links are below).  Note that it is the intent of the Southeastern District to make a commitment for one year at a time and project for additional years according to the guidelines that have been developed for funding new mission and ministry, and to honor this projected support of mission as the District is able based on availability of funds.

You will receive notification of the 2008 grant for your ministry in early January.  The amount of your grant will be contingent upon final adoption of the 2008 SED budget by the SED Board of Directors and the availability of funds.
