An evangelist is a bearer of Good News - yet how do we bear the precious news of Jesus? What if I don't have the right tools or the know the best way to say it? In these pages, you will find resources to help you and/or an evangelism team be in outreach.

Tending the Flame is the annual summer Conference designed for developing outreach leadership skills for all age levels. A unique children’s and youth program is an integral part of the Conference.  The 2009 Conference will be in Richmond VA on  July 31-Aug 2. Rev Art Scherer and Rev Tom Zehnder will be our Bible Study leaders teaching us how to fish. Nationally known artist Ken Mendema will show us how to sing the story of faith.

LCMS Outreach Resources: The national outreach ministry of LCMS World Mission focuses on equipping the members of The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod to share the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ with the unchurched in our families, communities, and beyond. Partnering with the 35 LCMS districts throughout the United States, outreach ministries provides encouragement, resources, and networking for congregations in this endeavor with the goal that LCMS congregations will be encouraging places for those who share the faith and welcoming places for those who hear it.
