After Worship Reception: Announcement

The text of this announcement is to be read the week prior to and the week of the after worship reception. The text is also to be used as bulletin insert. Your Congregation Campaign Director will provide all other necessary materials. Add the reception invitation as a bulletin insert and newsletter insert.

For the last _______ weeks, we have been talking about Ablaze! for God’s Mission. This historic endeavor will provide financial support for local, regional, national, and international projects to support the Ablaze! movement.

I am pleased to report to you the status of the Ablaze! for God’s Mission campaign at _______ congregation.

Our congregation goal is $__________. I once thought that to be an enormous sum to raise for new missions. However, today I am pleased to report that – as the result of ________ gifts to the campaign to date – we have already raised $________! This is ____% of our goal from only ____% of our congregation family. This is truly incredible! I am deeply grateful for our member’s generosity and humbled by their support. However, it’s important for all to give to support this new mission initiative.

This weekend we are having a reception in the <LOCATION>. <PASTOR and CHAIR> will offer more information about Ablaze! for God’s Mission and invite your support of this exciting endeavor to fortify resources that will help all Lutherans working toward the Ablaze! goals. We invite all congregation members to attend. The reception will last an hour and refreshments will be served. This is a great opportunity for you to hear first hand the impact Ablaze! for God’s Mission will have on missions and how you can help.
